MX Display System

Modular display system making most of reuse

The „MX Display System“ stands as a versatile solution for exhibition designs, inspired by the robust infrastructure of MX lab‚s own laboratories. Its flexible structure blurs boundaries between testing and exhibiting – symbolically referring to the increasingly accelerating changes of the product design process and its presentation.

Crafted from standardized aluminum profiles, this display system boasts a modular design reminiscent of a jigsaw puzzle, enabling flexible configurations. Each component is mechanically joined, ensuring that the entire structure can be easily disassembled and repaired, promoting longevity and sustainability. This approach to design not only enhances the system’s durability but also underscores a commitment to reusability of the display elements.

Designed with adaptability in mind, the MX Display System includes several display modules that can be expanded and arranged in various ways. This flexibility allows for the display of objects at different heights or the suspension of items, catering to the specific needs of any exhibit. The incorporation of plexiglass surfaces adds another layer of functionality, supporting removable texts on foil that can be easily updated or changed. Such features make it an ideal choice for dynamic environments where displays require fast planning, setup and frequent modification.

The system has been successfully implemented in two exhibition design projects so far – PHYGITAL× and DESIGN × SCIENCE. It also integrates lighting solutions that enhance the visibility and presentation of displayed objects, ensuring that each item is shown in the most understandable way. With its circular design goals and practical applications, the MX Display System exemplifies reusable display technology tailored for contemporary needs of exhibitor producers.
